You will need to follow safety guidelines, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain production records. Collaboration with quality control and production teams, recommending process improvements, and maintaining an organized workspace are also part of the job. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical knowledge of beam welding machines and related equipment, attention to detail in detecting and correcting welding defects, physical stamina for handling heavy materials, and problem-solving skills for resolving welding and machine-related issues. Prior experience in a similar role in the metal fabrication or construction industry is preferred. A certification as an ITI Welder is also preferred. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Factory Head to lead our Furniture Manufacturing Facility in Manesar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in wood and metal furniture, a passion for process optimization, and the ability to manage a diverse, multi-departmental workforce. This is a high-ownership, leadership role with end-to-end accountability for production, quality, safety, and cost control. Key Responsibilities: Factory Setup & Planning: Lead the setup and scale-up of factory infrastructure, teams, and operations. Establish core departments: Carpentry, Painting, Welding, Upholstery, Machinery Operations, Inventory, QC, Accounts, and Packaging. Daily Operations & Team Management: Oversee day-to-day plant activities to ensure timely and quality production. Recruit, train, and supervise department heads and workmen. Drive performance, ensure coordination across teams, and maintain discipline on the shop floor. Production Management: Plan and schedule production to meet customer delivery deadlines. Monitor inventory, reduce wastage, and optimize resource utilization. Track KPIs for output, productivity, and downtime. Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure all finished products meet stringent quality benchmarks. Maintain a safe, accident-free work environment with proper SOPs and machinery handling practices. Perform regular floor inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively. Maintenance & Cost Control: Plan preventive maintenance for machines and infrastructure. Monitor capital and operational expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies. Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate daily/weekly production and efficiency reports. Analyze trends to identify improvement areas and report management insights. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical field. Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles within wood and metal furniture manufacturing. Hands-on experience in managing factory operations, workforce planning, and production scheduling. Proficiency in interpreting furniture design drawings, material planning, and machine handling (wood/metal). Familiarity with finishes, paint processes, upholstery, and modular joinery is a strong plus. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing labour-intensive teams. In Process Quality Engineer ( Snr Engr/ Engr (7-8 Yrs exp) Responsibility: In process Inspection laser, TPP, Bending, Welding, Powder coating/ Passivation ) Shall have good knowledge in welding & NDT method _ preferred CSWIP / AWS certified welding inspector Experience in sheet metal Fabrication industry with knowledge on process , Validation, Qualification & Audits. Allocation of manpower – shift plan > should be capable of handling multiple process _ laser , TPP, Bending, Welding , Powder coating & Passivation. Contribute in feasibility study along with CFT Team In New product development Instrument Calibration (Verify, Issuing to line). Handling of Customers, Audits & Supporting for the special Process Audits with all the required documents. Understanding on powder coating and passivation In process quality activities like inspection, daily qualification activities, capable in problem solving techniques, brain storming techniques. In house qualification of powder, paint and operator qualification knowledge.(added advantage) Knowledge in QMS, 5S, KAIZAN, CAPA, COPQ, PPM Trends. Knowledge in understanding of drawing notations, customer specification requirements. Knowledge in Internal audits as well customer audits and interaction with suppliers and customers.
