Qualification - ITI Welder or PUC with Welding, Fabrication Skills 1-8 yrs experience required

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Interpreting Blueprints and Specifications:Welders read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and weld symbols to determine the correct procedures and materials for a project.
• Setting up Welding Equipment:This involves selecting the appropriate welding machine, setting parameters like amperage and voltage, and preparing the work area with necessary tools and safety equipment.
• Performing Welding Operations:Welders use various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding, to fuse metal parts together, fill holes, or repair damaged metal.
• Maintaining Equipment and Tools:Welders are responsible for the upkeep of their welding machines, torches, and other tools, ensuring they are in good working order and properly maintained.
• Ensuring Quality and Safety:This includes inspecting welds for defects, ensuring they meet specified standards, and adhering to strict safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Cutting and Preparing Metal:Welders may need to cut metal to specific dimensions, grind surfaces, and prepare materials for welding.
• Fabricating and Assembling:Welders can be involved in the fabrication of metal structures, components, or products, often working from detailed plans and specifications.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:Welders may encounter challenges during welding processes and need to identify and resolve issues, sometimes collaborating with other team members.
• Working with Various Materials:Welders work with different types of metals, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys, requiring knowledge of their properties and welding characteristics.
• Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace:A clean and organized workspace contributes to safety and efficiency, and welders are responsible for maintaining their work area.
