Job Description

Stainless Steel (SS) process equipment

Key Responsibilities

Specialized Welding:
Perform high-quality
TIG (GTAW)
welding on
Stainless Steel (SS 304, 316, etc.)
pipe and plate, often requiring Argon purging.
Fabrication & Fitting:
Accurately read
blueprints, P&IDs
, and vessel drawings for complex fit-up and assembly of nozzles, shells, and structural components.
Maintenance & Repair:
Execute repairs and modifications on existing
pressure vessels and heat exchangers
during plant shutdowns.
Code Compliance:
Ensure all work adheres strictly to quality standards (
ASME/IBR
) and prepare welds for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including
hot work permits
and confined space procedures.

Qualifications

ITI/Vocational Certificate in Welding/Fabrication.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in
SS welding of pressure parts
(boilers, reactors, pipelines).
Mandatory
TIG/SMAW Welding Certification
(e.g., ASME Section IX or IBR certified) for relevant materials and positions (ideally
6G
).
Expert knowledge of metallurgy for stainless steel.
