WEKA Storage Administrator

As a Storage Administrator, your core responsibilities will revolve around managing the storage infrastructure effectively. This will include overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of storage systems like SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and DAS (Direct Attached Storage). You will be tasked with managing storage arrays, backup systems, and related infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This involves conducting hardware and software upgrades, capacity planning, and performance tuning to maintain efficient operations. - Implementing and managing data backup and recovery strategies - Ensuring availability and integrity of backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity plans - Optimizing backup performance and storage capacity - Monitoring storage capacity and performance to proactively address potential issues - Managing data growth and efficient utilization of storage resources - Implementing best practices for system optimization, scalability, and high availability - Implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard data - Providing technical support for storage-related issues - Collaborating with vendors to address complex problems - Maintaining detailed documentation of storage configurations and processes - Generating performance reports, capacity usage reports, and summaries of issue resolutions - Collaborating with other IT teams for seamless integration of storage infrastructure - Good experience and knowledge of PowerMax/VMAX - Proficiency in SRDF STAR/Async DR Drill Activities - Monitoring and reporting on PowerMax and CISCO MDS 9k series SAN Switches - SAN storage provisioning on ESXi/Hypervisor platforms such as VMware, RHEL, etc.,
