Optimizing backup performance and storage capacity to facilitate consistent and reliable backup operations will be key in this aspect. Capacity and performance management will also fall under your purview. Monitoring storage capacity and performance to proactively address potential issues, ensuring efficient utilization of storage resources, and managing data growth will be crucial. Implementing best practices for system optimization, scalability, and high availability will be essential in maintaining a robust storage infrastructure. Data security will be a top priority, as you will play a vital role in implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard data from unauthorized access, corruption, or loss. Managing access controls, encryption, and other security protocols will be part of your daily tasks. Troubleshooting and support will be integral to your role, as you will provide technical support for storage-related issues, diagnose and resolve problems efficiently, and collaborate with vendors when necessary to address complex issues. Additionally, maintaining detailed documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures, along with generating performance reports, capacity usage reports, and summaries of issue resolutions will be essential for tracking and reporting purposes. Collaborating closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of storage infrastructure with other systems will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Key Skills required for this role include good experience and knowledge of PowerMax/VMAX, proficiency in SRDF STAR/Async DR Drill Activities, monitoring and reporting on PowerMax and CISCO MDS 9k series SAN Switches, as well as SAN storage provisioning on ESXi/Hypervisor platforms such as VMware, RHEL, etc.,
