The role of Ramp Operations Manager is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of ramp operational services for various airlines. As a Ramp Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee the turnaround process and aircraft handling activities in compliance with departmental standard operating procedures (SOP). You will be required to supervise the team to ensure that all ramp services are carried out following quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) norms and standards. Your key duties will include assigning, scheduling, and monitoring tasks for team members, as well as overseeing staff attendance, allocation, break-times, shift schedules, and managing flight disruptions. You will be responsible for monitoring ramp loading/offloading activities, identifying and resolving resource shortages, and conducting necessary checks related to cargo handling as per SOPs. Additionally, ensuring that all ramp activities are completed within defined timelines, safety standards, and service delivery requirements for each customer airline will be essential. In this role, you will also coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to facilitate offloading/loading and refueling operations to meet deadlines. Your role will contribute significantly to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of ramp operations, ensuring smooth and timely services for airline customers. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ramp handling or a similar role. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in job-related computer applications. Knowledge of ramp handling operations, weights and balances for various aircraft types, and a valid driving license are also required. Fluency in oral and written English and the local language, customer focus, and safety awareness are additional qualifications expected from potential candidates.
