As a Design Engineer at TechCalibrants, you will collaborate closely with the design team and clients. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed 3D design models and drawings using Ship Design software such as Cadmatic, as well as understanding detailed production design for piping outfitting. You will be expected to have a solid grasp of PFDs, P&IDs, procurement specifications, and be proficient in preparing isometrics, arrangements, and 3D models for various stages of marine and offshore platform projects. Moreover, you should possess a good understanding of international piping standards, piping components, materials, and be familiar with engineering standards like API, DIN, ASME, BS / EN. Your tasks will also involve reading and interpreting P&IDs, piping material specifications, and construction standards, as well as handling bill of materials and weight calculations. Additionally, you will be required to work on tasks such as pipe support fabrication drawings, piping isometric sketches, layout drawings, and review vendor documents and specifications. To qualify for this position, you must hold a diploma or graduate degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with a PG in piping from recognized institutes, along with at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience with 3D ship design software like Aveva Marine, Cadmatic, and Ship Constructor is essential, as well as prior involvement in detail or basic design projects related to ship outfitting or shipyard operations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, a commitment to continuous learning, and a minimum service commitment of 1 year are also required.
