Effective communication with customers to provide updates and guidance is crucial, along with documenting technical specifications and support-related details. Participating in continuous improvement projects and process enhancements, collaborating with a geographically dispersed team, and reporting to team leads and management as necessary are all part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should possess 4-6 years of total experience and a robust background in application support. Essential skills involve working in application or technical support roles, analyzing and resolving customer problems, strong communication skills (both oral and written), understanding of web-based or desktop client-server architectures, technical proficiency to interpret code, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset. Desirable skills and technologies include experience with Oracle databases, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Unix/Linux, Cobol, Java, Git version control tools, ITIL certification, and knowledge of financial services software.
