We are hiring for MNC Located in Bangalore- Whitefield Position: ABAP/HANA Lead and Senior Consultant Required Experience: 7-12 Years Mandatory Skills: SAP ABAP (ECC 5.O),HANA Roles & Responsibilities: Application Development in ABAP in ECC 5.0 and higher systems. Provide technical analysis with full understanding of SAP business documents, master data, transaction data in primary modules SD, MM, FICO and PP modules including cross-functional configuration. Develop applications with clear qualification of different levels of coding options within SAP including but not limited, (Business Add-ins (BADI), Business Application Programmatic Interface (BAPI), User Exits, Dialog programming, Reports, SAP Scripts & SMARTFORMS, Interfaces, Conversion programs). Adherence to SAP layers of abstraction at, (Open SQL vs. Native SQL, Data Dictionary and Operating system commands). Development involving ABAP Objects (Object Model Based). Provide Root Cause analysis using SAP tools, including but not limited to, (ABAP Debugger, Application Logs, Code Optimizer, SQL Trace, Transport and Version Management). Experience with interface and messaging architectures including EDI/IDOC and XI. Familiarity with eCATT, Transaction Recorder, BDC Programming. Strong adherence to Software Development Life Cycle process. Ability to read, understand, author and review, Technical specifications, Unit test documents, Test scripts and Code review. Familiarity with online developer communities and SAP support network. In depth understanding of SAP architecture. Familiarity with industry standard incident management tools (Remedy). Collaboration with multiple teams including partner organizations. Incident Management, resource allocation, reporting. Responsibilities as a Lead: 1. Architecture Experience: Demonstrate expertise in ABAP architecture, ensuring a deep understanding of each Change Request (CHR) and its status at any given point in time. 2. Communication and Solution Provision: Effectively communicate and provide appropriate solutions to business and functional teams, conveying solution feasibility and any limitations in achieving objectives smoothly. 3. Team Management: Assess the capabilities of the ABAP team and distribute work, accordingly, identifying strengths and weaknesses to groom team members appropriately. 4. Knowledge Sharing: Establish a knowledge centre through regular knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. 5. Enforcement of Best Practices: Enforce SAP Best Practices rigorously to ensure consistency and efficiency in development processes. 6. Daily Scrum Calls: Conduct daily scrum calls to coordinate activities, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project objectives. 7. Pipeline Planning: Plan the CHR/work pipeline ahead of time every week to optimize productivity and resource allocation. 8. Stakeholder Communication: Provide soft escalation to stakeholders on dependencies and productivity, maintaining transparent and proactive communication channels. 9. Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure high-quality deliverables from each member of the ABAP team, maintaining standards of excellence in all project outputs. 10. Team Availability: Monitor and ensure the availability of team members during work hours, optimizing resource utilization and project timelines. 11. Status Reporting: Regularly update the status tracker and prepare governance decks with accurate status updates, presenting them to stakeholders on a weekly basis. 12. SLA Adherence: Strictly adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects as per client requirements. Technology Skills: 1. 10+ years of Experience in Enterprise Applications & ABAP development 2. Experience in SDLC and SAP ABAP development framework. 3. Hands-on experience in at least 2 full cycle implementations on SAP ERP, with understanding of SAP business documents, master data, transaction data and integration links in primary modules SD, MM, FICO and PP modules. 4. Experience with Web Dynpro, Adobe forms and Work Flow. 5. Exposure to global SAP projects is a plus.
