As a Web Development Engineer-II at OYO, based in Spaze Plazo - Gurgaon, you will have the opportunity to work with a global leader in hospitality technology that operates in 35+ countries with a diverse portfolio of brands and offerings, including OYO Vacation Homes, Motel 6, Sunday, and Townhouse. Since its inception in 2013, OYO has rapidly grown to oversee 174K+ hotels and homes globally and aims for significant growth in the next five years. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing new web product features with a focus on performance and scalability. Collaborating with product and design teams to ensure seamless user experiences, driving system architecture decisions, establishing engineering best practices, and maintaining code quality, performance optimization, and web application maintainability. You will also identify and implement browser optimization techniques for enhanced performance while maintaining high standards of operational excellence throughout the development lifecycle. To qualify for this opportunity, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field along with at least 3 years of experience in web software development. Proficiency in modern web technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS, and web services is essential. Hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications using technologies like Node.js, React.js, or Vue.js is required. Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, leadership skills to drive engineering best practices, and operational excellence are crucial for this role. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of professional software engineering practices, web security, SEO optimization, accessibility, and internationalization. A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability, along with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are desirable. Additionally, the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving complex environment and deliver solutions despite complex requirements is beneficial.
