Role Description:

The Web 3 Innovation Lab plays a pivotal role in Holding the lab's strategic vision and operational excellence, fostering a culture of innovation and "learning by doing" among students. This individual is responsible for setting the lab's strategic direction and ensuring the lab's success in bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Vision and Strategy:

• Set strategic goals for the lab, including defining key areas of focus, innovation strategies, and research priorities.
• Ensure the lab's activities contribute to the broader academic and research missions of the institution.

Innovation Lab - Industry Interface:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, facilitating collaborations that enhance the lab's research and innovation projects.
• Serve as a key liaison between the lab and academic departments, promoting interdisciplinary industry relevant research and learning opportunities.
• Lead initiatives to secure funding, sponsorship, and partnerships that support the lab's activities and growth.

Brand Ambassador:

• Act as a brand ambassador, representing the Innovation Labs at conferences, seminars, and public forums.
• Promote the lab's achievements and projects through various channels, enhancing its reputation and visibility.
• Foster a network of alumni, industry leaders, and academic peers to support and engage with the lab's work.

Mentorship and Role Modeling:

• Serve as a mentor and role model for students and mentors, inspiring them to pursue innovation and excellence.
• Support a learning environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and personal growth.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent experience in innovation management.
• Proven leadership experience in managing research or innovation labs, particularly in an academic or similar setting.
• Technical expertise in multiple blockchain platforms, smart contracts, DeFi & dApps, Web 3 libraries/frameworks and cryptography. Should be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the benefits decentralization.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience in academia-industry partnerships.
• Demonstrated success in securing funding, sponsorships, or partnerships.
• Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, capable of engaging a wide range of audiences.
• Understanding of the latest trends and technologies in areas relevant to the lab's focus.
