Water/Wastewater Works Operator I

As a Water/Wastewater Works Operator at the Water & Sewer department located at 5605 S. Garnett Rd. (IW), you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of water and sewer systems. Your work schedule will be from Wednesday to Saturday, starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 5:30 PM. To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following options or an equivalent combination of training and experience as outlined in the Personnel Policies and Procedures, Section 100: - Graduation from high school or possession of a General Educational Development Certificate (GED). - Three (3) months of experience performing heavy manual labor. - Additional requirements may apply as per the Water/Wastewater Works Operator Progression Criterion Document. In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, you are required to hold the following licenses and certificates: - Possession of a valid Oklahoma Class D Driver license. - For some positions, possession of a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with applicable endorsements within 6 months from the date of hire. - Possession of a valid Oklahoma Class D Water/Wastewater License as issued by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) within nine (9) months from the date of hire.
