Watershed Support Services and Activities Network (WASSAN): Established in 1999 and headquartered in Hyderabad, WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network) is a network-based organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of natural resource management and livelihood programs, particularly in rainfed areas. WASSAN plays a pivotal role in policy advocacy at both state and national levels, focusing on sustainable and equitable development in rainfed agriculture. Locations Manyam, Andhra Pradesh Annamayya & Sri Sathya Sai, Andhra Pradesh Responsibilities Work closely with WSHG-led millet food enterprises to strengthen their business operations and production capacity and long-term sustainability. Coordinate with Community Resource Person to ensure timely implementation of activities in line with the program plan. Support in conducting Capacity Building training to SHG members on product standardization and support them in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitor the production process to ensure hygiene, consistent taste, and quality across batches. Ensure WSHGs follow standard procedures and regularly update progress via WhatsApp, Emails or other channels. Assist women entrepreneurs in maintaining records such as sales, stock, and expenses, and support them in planning for business growth. Support efforts to promote millet-based products and ensure consistent quality and branding in local markets. Support in designing, setting up, and implementing the Training Hub for recipe demonstrations and SOP-based training for women entrepreneurs. Collect field data, success stories, and feedback to support program reporting and improvements. Qualifications Graduate in Food Technology, Food Science & Nutrition, Home Science, or related fields. 2-3 years of experience working with SHGs or women entrepreneurs Strong communication and facilitation skills Willingness to travel to rural areas Excellent written and verbal skills Telugu language is a must Knowledge of millet based nutritious food will be an added advantage.
