The company is currently seeking a Reliability/Warranty Engineer to support the identification and reduction of customer warranty claims and costs. The role involves coordinating division-wide efforts to mitigate warranty claims and liabilities, analyzing product quality data throughout the product lifecycle, and collaborating with various teams within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor customer warranty activity and complaints to identify failure types and root causes - Assemble teams to investigate warranty claims and failures - Manage warranty improvement projects to address significant sources of claims and liabilities - Process warranty data into statistical reliability models - Perform weibull analysis for failure rates and time to fail simulations - Report warranty results and progress regularly to customers and internal stakeholders - Own the 8D system/process and facilitate regular reviews - Provide support for production issues to prevent warranty claims - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage data for product/process improvements - Develop expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL/R/Python Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in automotive, solar, or related industries, with a focus on warranty engineering and quality - Proficiency in statistical analysis and reliability concepts - Strong communication and team-building skills - Experience in 8D problem-solving and failure analysis - Knowledge of statistical analysis tools like Minitab/JMP - Six Sigma certification preferred - Ability to design and implement data-driven strategies - Familiarity with programming/query languages If you are passionate about sustainability and have a background in warranty engineering, this role at Enphase Energy offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation energy technologies.
