Job Description

Assist patients with mobility, especially pre- and post-eye surgery. Accompany patients to and from the outpatient department, diagnostic areas, and operation theatre. Support elderly or visually impaired patients in moving safely around the hospital. Help in preparing patients for eye surgeries (e.g., changing into surgical gowns, cleaning). Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of beds, wards, and OPD waiting areas. Assist with eye drops, medication reminders (under supervision), and post-op care instructions. Ensure surgical and diagnostic areas are clean and properly set up. Handle patient admission, discharge, and shifting to/from the eye OT. Dispose of biomedical waste and used dressings as per hospital protocol. Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and safety at all times. Report unusual patient conditions or concerns to nursing staff.
