As a Sr Information Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day mission critical operations of SAS's complex global network. The Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Operations team relies on you to maintain the operational stability of SAS's global internal and hosting network infrastructures. Your key responsibilities include incident management, proactive operations, implementation of basic requests/changes, and documentation of team procedures. With over 8 years of experience, you will investigate and manage global and hosting network-related incidents, proactively manage network infrastructure to minimize reactive incidents, fulfill network-related requests and change tickets, and produce and maintain current documentation for your areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, along with at least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise networks and TCP/IP and WAN/LAN networking. Experience in incident management and the ability to work in a 24x7 shift and on-call environment are essential. In this role, you will need to be self-motivated and customer service-focused, with the ability to interface with individuals of varying skill sets in high-pressure environments. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as problem-solving abilities, are crucial for success. Preferred qualifications include experience with Arista and Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Microsoft Azure networking, F5 LTM/DNS load balancers, Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols, networking for virtualized server environments, Cisco and/or Aruba Wireless Networking, Cisco ISE, and Cisco AnyConnect and/or Ivanti/PulseSecure Remote Access solutions.,
