Job Description – Jr. Accounts Assistant Company: Walls & Bridges India Pvt. Ltd. (WBIPL) Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Hydernagar, Hyderabad Reports To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager Job Summary: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance and accounts department by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and assisting in financial reporting. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting & Financial Transactions: • Assist in recording and processing financial transactions (purchases, sales, expenses, etc.). • Maintain and update ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation. • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. • Process supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and petty cash transactions. 2. Bank & Cash Management: • Assist in bank reconciliations and verify transactions. • Monitor and record cash flow to ensure funds are available for project and operational expenses. • Process bank payments, cheque deposits, and fund transfers as required. 3. Taxation & Compliance Support: • Assist in GST, TDS, and other tax filings as per statutory requirements. • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations. • Maintain proper tax documentation and assist in audits. 4. Reporting & Documentation: • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review. • Maintain proper records of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. • Support senior accountants in budgeting and financial planning activities. 5. Coordination & Support: • Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments for financial queries and payments. • Assist in audits and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities. • Provide general administrative support to the finance team. Qualifications & Skills: Education: • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or a related accounting qualification. • Additional certifications like Tally, CA Inter will be an advantage. Experience: • 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (preferably in construction/infrastructure companies). Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software. • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances. • Basic understanding of financial statements and ledger accounts.
