Job Description Service Associate – FOH (Front of House) Job Role: The Front of House (FOH) staff is responsible for creating a welcoming environment and ensuring an excellent customer experience. Key duties include greeting customers, taking orders, handling payments, serving desserts, maintaining cleanliness, and managing customer inquiries or concerns. The role may also involve restocking supplies, coordinating with the kitchen team, and upselling products. Successful candidates should have strong communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and Welcome Customers • Provide a friendly, warm welcome as customers enter the shop and arrange seating & guide the ordering process • Create a positive first impression with a professional and approachable appearance. Take Orders and Handle Payments • Accurately take customer orders at the counter or via POS systems. • Process payments efficiently, including cash, card, and digital transactions. • Address any questions about menu items during the ordering process. Serve Desserts and Beverages • Ensure orders are prepared and presented to customers promptly. • Deliver items to tables or package for takeout. Address Customer Inquiries and Concerns • Respond to customer questions about ingredients, allergens, or dietary preferences. • Handle complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary. Maintain Cleanliness and Organization of the Front Area • Keep counters, displays, and tables clean and sanitized. • Regularly check and tidy customer areas, including seating and waste bins. Restock Supplies as Needed • Monitor stock levels of items like napkins, utensils, and takeaway packaging. • Refill displays and assist in arranging products to enhance customer appeal. Coordinate with the Kitchen Team • Communicate orders accurately to the kitchen staff. • Notify the kitchen of special requests or allergies. • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of items. Upsell Products and Promote Specials • Highlight seasonal specials, promotions, or new menu items to encourage additional sales and facilitate for any special events
