You will be responsible for collaborating with engineering teams to validate network designs and support implementation from Day 0 through handover to operations. As the Principal Network Engineer WAN SME, you will act as a senior escalation point for WAN and multicast network issues, investigating and resolving critical incidents. Engaging with partners and vendors to drive fixes and support seamless migrations will also be a part of your role. Your responsibilities will include working closely with cybersecurity teams to assess and mitigate vulnerabilities and designing, building, and supporting scalable, low-latency WAN architectures with emphasis on MPLS, multicast, and segment routing. You will provide automation leadership by reviewing and improving Ansible and Python-based automation scripts and developing dashboards and monitoring tools for near real-time network visibility. Maintaining system performance, producing documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams during upgrades and changes will be crucial. You will also be expected to drive CI/CD pipelines for network-related automation and testing. To be successful in this role, you must have strong hands-on experience with WAN technologies, MPLS, multicast routing protocols, and VRF-based services.
