As a Windows VMware Senior Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the installation, deployment, and configuration of Windows servers and VMware virtualization platform. Your primary tasks will include performing security checks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring maximum performance and uptime for all Windows servers and VMware platform to achieve optimal performance. Your role will involve handling day-to-day operations of Windows and VMware technologies, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows servers and VMware virtualization platform. You will define and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for Windows and VMware system administration, security, and compliance. Additionally, you will be responsible for tasks such as installing the latest security patches on ESXi hosts via SSH & VUM quarterly on ESX/ESXi servers, migrating physical servers to virtual through standalone converter, creating and managing user accounts, performing OS hardening, handling various services of Windows server & ESX/ESXi servers, managing password policies, file permissions, admin access, and restricting anonymous access of registry. Furthermore, you will be involved in the installation & upgrading of operating systems including Windows Server 2008 & R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019, ESX servers 5.0, 6.0, 6.5, 6.7, 7.0 & 8.0, antivirus, and patches. Your responsibilities will also include creating VMs, taking snapshots, clones, templates (deploying new VMs from templates), VM migration on ESX servers, and storage migration. You will monitor system performance, conduct performance tuning to optimize resource utilization, and enhance system efficiency. Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to Windows servers and VMware virtual machines will be part of your routine, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis. As a senior administrator, you are expected to implement and maintain security measures to protect Windows servers and VMware virtual machines from security threats and vulnerabilities. You will lead initiatives to automate routine tasks, streamline administrative processes using scripting and automation tools, and collaborate with other IT teams for integration with other infrastructure components. Staying updated with the latest Windows and VMware technologies and best practices, evaluating and recommending new tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness will be crucial in your role. You will also perform other responsibilities as required by higher levels of supervision. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred from an accredited university Work Experience: - 5-8 years of experience as a Windows/VMware Administrator or in a similar role for lead level - 4 years of experience in Windows/VMware Administrator or a related field for specialist level - 0-4 years of experience for analyst level,
