VTL Machine Operator (Vertical Turning Lathe)

Job Title: VTL Machine Operator (Vertical Turning Lathe)

Responsibilities:

• Operate and control VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) machines
• Set up workpieces, tools, and machine parameters
• Interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications
• Perform precision machining operations to required tolerances
• Use measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge)
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic maintenance
• Record daily production and maintain job cards
• Ensure safety compliance during machining operations

Skills & Requirements:

• Experience operating VTL machines (Manual / CNC as applicable)
• ITI / Diploma (Fitter, Turner, Machinist preferred)
• Strong knowledge of machining processes
• Ability to check dimensions and surface finish
• Hands-on experience in tool changing and fixture setting
• Ability to work independently or in shifts
