The PHP Developer role at CBSL in Kolkata is a critical position within the IT team, focusing on developing and maintaining robust web applications. Your main responsibilities will include developing high-quality PHP web applications according to specifications, designing scalable and reliable application architecture, collaborating with UI/UX designers for front-end integration, and ensuring application performance, reliability, and quality. You will also be responsible for implementing software development best practices and methodologies, writing clean and well-documented code, and participating in code reviews to maintain code quality standards. In addition, you will integrate with third-party APIs and services, debug and resolve application issues promptly, and work with MySQL databases for data management and storage. Your role will involve continuously improving existing applications through enhancements and upgrades, staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in web development, collaborating with other developers to define project requirements, providing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed applications, and contributing to the team's knowledge base by sharing insights regularly. To be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with proven experience as a PHP Developer or in a similar role. You should have a strong understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter, familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL. Knowledge of web services such as REST and SOAP, API integration, version control systems like Git, and the ability to write and maintain clear documentation are also required. Additionally, you should have experience with debugging tools and techniques, familiarity with Agile development methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
