The focus is on end-to-end enterprise storage operations, enhancements, and complex issue resolution in a hybrid AWS cloud environment. As a Level 3 NetApp NAS Storage Engineer, you will act as a technical SME for escalations, design improvements, automation initiatives, and critical incident recovery. Key Responsibilities: Lead complex NetApp ONTAP infrastructure operations: upgrades, reconfiguration, patching, HA testing, and DR validation. Implement advanced CIFS/NFS solutions, including protocol optimization, access control, replication, and performance tuning. Perform deep-dive diagnostics and root cause analysis for system, storage, and protocol-level issues in ONTAP CDOT environments. Manage and configure NetApp FAS and AFF systems, Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs), volumes, aggregates, and snapshots. Implement and support automount/autofs setups integrated with enterprise authentication systems (LDAP, Kerberos). Integrate and automate storage operations using Python, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning, backups, and compliance tasks. Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage infrastructure. Collaborate with Linux, Cloud, Backup (Commvault) and Network teams on cross-functional incidents and architecture alignment. Contribute and create new standard operating procedures (SOPs), and drive automation initiatives. Technical Skills Required: NetApp NAS & Storage Systems (Must-have): Hands on experience in NetApp ONTAP CDOT and CLI/API operations. Hands-on with CIFS, NFS, Vserver (SVM), SnapMirror, SnapVault, FlexClone, and deduplication features. Administration of FAS & AFF models, disk shelf configurations, cabling, and HA pairs. Storage provisioning, quota management, and multi-protocol data access configuration. Linux (Exposure Required): Intermediate command-line administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu). Understanding of NFS mounts, autofs, LDAP integration, and SSH/NTP configurations. Automation & IaC (Prefer): Python scripting for automation of storage tasks, health checks, and reporting. Writing Ansible playbooks for backup, provisioning, and compliance tasks. Using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code in hybrid (on-prem + AWS) environments. Preferred Certifications (Good to Have): NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) RHCSA or RHCE (Linux) Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to lead MIM calls and manage high-priority incident resolution. Mentor L1/L2 engineers and participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing.

This role requires deep NetApp CDOT expertise, architectural mindset, and automation-first leadership to drive the transformation and resilience of the storage layer integrated with hybrid Linux and AWS environments. Key Responsibilities: Own the NetApp storage architecture, performance tuning, DR design, and enterprise integration strategies across multi-site, hybrid environments. Lead complex NetApp ONTAP/CDOT implementations, capacity expansion, cluster peer configuration, SnapMirror DR setups, and performance diagnostics. Provide strategic guidance on multi-protocol storage (CIFS/NFS/iSCSI) setup, scale-out designs, and advanced Vserver (SVM) use cases. Drive infrastructure automation using advanced Python scripting, Ansible playbooks, and Terraform modules for provisioning, reporting, and compliance. Collaborate with Cloud (AWS), Linux, and Security teams to define and implement infrastructure-as-code and immutable storage deployments. Review and optimize ONTAP FlexGroup, QoS policies, SVM DR replication, tiered storage with FabricPool (cloud tiers), and performance SLA adherence. Perform architecture reviews, failure scenario testing, and ensure business continuity plans are aligned with industry best practices. Lead root cause analysis on P1/P0 storage incidents, represent storage layer in infrastructure war rooms, and drive permanent remediation plans. Act as the technical mentor and reviewer for L1/L2/L3 engineers; conduct code reviews, configuration audits, and contribute to standards. Track and implement emerging NetApp solutions (ONTAP enhancements, BlueXP integration, REST APIs) for future-proofing storage infrastructure. Required Technical Skills: NetApp Storage Expertise: Mastery in ONTAP CDOT CLI, REST APIs, SnapCenter, Active IQ, SnapMirror/SnapVault, SVM-DR, CIFS/NFS tuning. FAS/AFF platform design, cabling best practices, SSD/HDD tier balancing, RAID-DP/RAID-TEC understanding. Exposure to StorageGrid, FabricPool, and hybrid object-tier storage integration with AWS S3 or Glacier. Linux & Scripting: Proficient in RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu CLI, managing NFS exports, autofs, LDAP/SSSD, cron-based monitoring scripts. Strong scripting in Python, working with NetApp SDKs and REST APIs to automate operational workflows. Writing modular Ansible playbooks for configuration, health checks, alerting, and compliance reports. Cloud & DevOps Exposure: AWS exposure to EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch for NetApp CVO (Cloud Volumes ONTAP) or FabricPool offloads.
