In this critical role, you will be responsible for alarm monitoring, alarm analysis, operation and maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple telecom nodes including RAN, Core CS, Core PS, IP, and IMS. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies spanning 2G to 5G, ensuring high service availability and excellent customer experience through proactive network management and rapid incident resolution. What You Will Do Monitor alarms and analyze network events to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues across RAN, Core CS, Core PS, IP, and IMS nodes. Perform operation and maintenance activities including node health checks, backups, configuration changes, and fault management. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on Ericsson baseband equipment and other telecom network elements. Manage and resolve network incidents, ensuring timely restoration of services to meet SLAs and maintain a low Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). Utilize alarm monitoring tools such as CITRIX, Putty, EMS, and Netcool for effective network surveillance. Collaborate closely with field teams to handle hardware failures, node unreachable issues, and other field-related activities. Follow ITSM ticketing procedures: actively supervise ticket queues, document incident details, actions taken, and resolutions. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors for issue escalation and resolution. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including system updates and preventive checks. Adhere to and contribute to the improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Proactively detect potential failures and engage Incident Managers or automated systems to prevent or minimize service impact. Skills You Bring Strong telecom knowledge across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G service flows and interfaces. Hands-on experience with Ericsson baseband hardware and configuration. Proven expertise in NOC operations, alarm handling, change management, fault diagnosis, and configuration management. Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as CITRIX, Putty, EMS, and Netcool. Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN. Good knowledge of IP networking protocols: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, and Segment Routing. Understanding of switching technologies and protocols: VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, HSRP. Experience with ITSM frameworks, incident management, and working within SLA environments. Primary Skillsets Strong expertise and extensive support of routing protocols/technologies such EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS VPN, IPSec VPNs, VRFs, Multicast, and ECMP Strong expertise and extensive with LAN technologies such as HSRP, VRRP, CDP, LLDP, Spanning Tree, and QoS and LACP Secondary Skillsets Experience supporting carrier circuits. Support of Wireless infrastructure and technologies including Cisco and Aruba controllers and access points, and 802.11 a/g/n/ac standards. Support of optical multiplexers including Cisco NCS 1002 and Evertz DWDM Multiplexers. Use of packet capture and analysis tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and other related technologies. Identify, recommend and implement changes to documentation standards used in the ACC. Routinely mentor junior staff in areas of process, technology, execution, and other areas. Serve as extensions of the leadership team as directed for workload management and routine guidance. Partner with the NMS tools team to develop new monitoring techniques and refine existing tools and features. Perform or participate in complex maintenance or deployment activities. Create or modify documentation in response to new events and learnings. Routinely provide constructive feedback for improvement opportunities. Assist management with determining suitable training and areas of technical need within the team. Assist with remediating major impacting service interruptions as required. Background in data center technologies such as Cisco Fabric Path, Zone Security, VxLan, F5 Load Balancing, and OpenGear terminal servers. Experience with firewalls and how they operate, preferably Palo Alto firewalls. Knowledge of cloud technologies particularly networking in AWS, Azure and GCP.
