As a Cloud & Virtualisation Specialist at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to meet plan, budget, quality, and governance standards. Your responsibilities will include spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation, and ensuring excellent customer experiences through the utilization of cutting-edge technology. To excel in this role, you should possess the following key skills and experiences: - Deep understanding of vCenter and ESXi installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with VMware SAN / VCF infrastructure using SDDC manager. - Ability to manage weekend Complex/ L3 Changes. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others. - Experience with vRA, vRO, vROPs, vSAN, vSAN Max, vRLI (Certification is advantageous). - Hands-on experience with HP ILO & Dell idrac. - Basic knowledge of NSX & NSXT. - Good understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation. - Familiarity with vIDM, vRLCM. - Knowledge of infrastructure areas and their interactions with the virtual environment. - Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with technical teams using the SRE model. - Experience in managing escalated tickets and major incidents. - Deep understanding of ITIL principles. - Strong multitasking skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team effort. - Capability to handle pressure, take ownership of issues, and drive for successful outcomes. - Adherence to risk and audit compliance standards. - Previous experience in Virtualization and Cloud Technology. Additionally, valuable skills may include: - Collaborating with Engineering to implement infrastructure changes. - Providing input into Cloud & Virt project plans. - Managing tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient service delivery. - Coaching and developing less experienced staff. - Holding VCP certification, with VCAP certification as an added advantage. - Preferred certifications in ITIL, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and AWS. - Knowledge of scripting languages is beneficial. In this role based in Pune, your main purpose will be to monitor and maintain the critical technology infrastructure of the bank, resolving complex technical issues while minimizing operational disruptions. Your key accountabilities will involve providing technical support, executing preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining a knowledge base, analyzing system logs, and proactively addressing potential risks and issues. As an Analyst, you are expected to perform tasks to a high standard, demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge, lead a team if applicable, and contribute to the improvement of support activities. You will collaborate with other teams, advise decision-making processes, manage risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
