Job Description

Job Title:

Job Summary:

managing large-scale plating processes

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end operations of the Plating Plant, including manpower, production, quality, and safety.
Ensure consistent execution of Phosphating (Iron/Zinc/Manganese) and Electroplating (Copper/Zinc/Nickel) processes as per specifications.
Supervise process titration, chemical analysis, and maintenance of bath concentrations with precise controls.
Develop and implement plating procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Coordinate with quality, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing) within the plating plant.
Look after Cost Estimation & Control related activities.
Train and mentor the plating team to ensure high productivity and adherence to SOPs.
Communication with the customers.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules of plating lines and tanks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Metallurgy / Surface Coating Technology or related field.
Strong knowledge of electroplating and phosphating processes.
Expertise in chemical titration techniques and analysis.
Familiarity with plating plant equipment and instrumentation.
Sound leadership, team management, and interdepartmental coordination skills.
Knowledge of statutory regulations related to plating chemicals and effluent treatment.
