Qualcomm IT is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Qualcomm Global Enterprise networking team based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have significant experience working with large-scale heterogeneous networks, possess strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in campus networks, and have a solid understanding of data center networking technologies, network virtualization, and automation. The responsibilities of this role include working in rotational shifts to support global network operations, maintaining and supporting a diverse global network infrastructure, and collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery. The Network Engineer will also be involved in daily operational tasks such as responding to support requests, troubleshooting service issues, performing upgrades and new installations, and ensuring adherence to corporate change management policies. Key qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or relevant work experience, 4 to 5 years of experience in core networking skills, expertise in handling L2 and L3 network issues, and familiarity with Cisco IOS and/or NX-OS network equipment. Strong communication skills, proficiency in routing and switching technologies, and experience with protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and others are essential requirements for this role. The ideal candidate should also have experience with TCP/IP operations, troubleshooting, and a working knowledge of Python and Ansible automation for networking. Preferred qualifications include CCNP certification and experience supporting and implementing campus and data center networks.
