The Chapter Lead, Product Specialist - webMethods, Platform Delivery, WRB Tech is a key driver in providing solutions to business problems, automating business processes, and introducing new products/services. Demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation and expertise in webMethods, the ideal candidate actively seeks, develops, and assists in implementing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity. A dedicated focus on discovering and creating innovative solutions within the dynamic digital landscape of banking is crucial for this role. Responsibilities include: Strategy - Supervising the execution of functional standards and best practices, offering technical guidance to Chapter members. - Ensuring the quality of the code repository where applicable. - Serving as a channel for broader domain strategy, including technical standards. - Prioritizing and allocating capacity for technical debt. - Emphasis on capability building rather than owning applications or delivery. Business - Contributing hands-on expertise to squad delivery within their craft (e.g. Engineering). - Balancing skills and capabilities across teams (squads) and hives in collaboration with the Chief Product Owner, Hive Tech Lead & Hive Leadership, aligned with the fixed capacity model. - Driving the evolution of the craft towards enhanced automation, simplification, and innovative utilization of current market trends. Processes - Implementing and integrating Change Delivery Standards throughout the product/service lifecycle. - Ensuring clear role definitions, job descriptions, and expectations, providing periodic feedback to the team. - Adhering to the chapter operating model to foster continuous capability and performance enhancement. - Chapter Lead responsibilities may vary based on the specific chapter domain they lead. People & Talent - Responsible for people management and capability development of Chapter members. - Monitoring metrics on capabilities and performance, maintaining an improvement backlog for Chapters, and driving continual enhancement. - Prioritizing the development of people and capabilities as the primary focus. Risk Management - Managing capacity risks effectively across the Chapter concerning attrition and leave plans. - Ensuring compliance with standards for risk management in the respective chapter domain. - Following common practices to mitigate risks within the domain. Governance - Ensuring adherence to required standards and policies in all artefacts and assurance deliverables. - Possessing over 10 years of work experience. - Experience in diverse global organizations focusing on overall capability and technical expertise. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Profound understanding of webMethods architecture, functionality, and capabilities, with practical experience in solution design, configuration, customization, and integration. - Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to convey technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders and build relationships with stakeholders and team members. - Analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex business requirements, identify root causes of issues, and develop practical solutions addressing customer needs and challenges. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
