VP - Java Development

As a VP - Java Development, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the field. Your role will be pivotal in providing technical, architectural, design, and development support to the team members, while also engaging with technology teams globally. Location: Mumbai Experience: 13 to 17 years Responsibilities: In this leadership role, you will be responsible for both hands-on development and guiding the team to deliver technical solutions. Your duties will include technology design and architecture, platform development and maintenance, understanding business requirements, designing solutions, implementation, testing, and L3 support. Additionally, you will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders worldwide, propose strategic/tactical solutions, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality changes through the software development lifecycle. Unit testing, support for testing phases, and adherence to organizational processes and best practices are also part of your responsibilities. Mandatory Skills: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field - 13+ years of Java experience (version 8 and above) - Proficiency in Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot) - Familiarity with Caching solutions (Gemfire, Redis) and Middleware solutions (Solace, Kafka, Pulsar) - Experience with Java testing frameworks (Junit) and Mocking frameworks - Knowledge of development lifecycle tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Ansible) - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles - Ability to work on Linux and Windows servers - Capable of collaborating effectively in a global team - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Proactive, attention to detail, and focus on high-quality work - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Desirable Skills: - Understanding of Investment Banking and Capital Markets domain - Experience with Python, C#/.Net - Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Ingress Controller - Exposure to AWS and Big Data technologies (Spark, Parquet, Dremio) - Familiarity with ActivePivot Join our client's dynamic team and be part of a challenging yet rewarding environment where your skills and expertise will be valued and nurtured.,
