As a SharePoint and VMware Administrator, your responsibilities will include installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries. You will be involved in adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions to ensure data security. Performing regular maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet will be essential to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshooting and resolving any SharePoint issues or malfunctions that may arise will be a key part of your role. You will also provide support to end-users and conduct training sessions to enhance their understanding of SharePoint functionality. Performing data retrieval and backup procedures will be crucial in preventing data loss, while ensuring sufficient storage space through clean-ups and data archiving. Your duties will also involve reviewing usage and activity reports, making adjustments for optimal user experiences. Maintaining network infrastructure, managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls will contribute to the overall security of the system. Staying updated with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades will be necessary to leverage new features and enhancements. Additionally, you will be responsible for determining business needs, evaluating existing network infrastructure and systems, and optimizing network hardware and software for seamless VMware integration. Developing and deploying customized VMware solutions, virtualizing Windows servers, and connecting them to networks and clouds will be part of your tasks. Designing and implementing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and enabling template management will require your expertise. Installing operating systems, service packs, security patches, and bug fixes, as well as troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues are critical aspects of your role. Providing technical support and documenting VMware processes will ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team. Your commitment to keeping informed about developments in VMware technologies and products will help in staying ahead of industry trends. Any experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Atlassian Administration will be considered a valuable asset in this role.,
