Job Description: We are in search of a highly proficient and self-motivated IT System Administrator with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. In the role of System Administrator, you will be instrumental in preserving, upgrading, and fortifying our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess a robust comprehension of IT systems, networks, and security protocols, complemented by hands-on expertise in system administration. Responsibilities: Oversee essential IT operations, encompassing operating systems, Office 365 systems, Windows Server. Execute, troubleshoot, and maintain business systems, including the Windows server environment, operating systems, servers and storage, virtualization. Install and update computer components and software, and administer virtual servers. Address hardware and software issues by conducting diagnostics, documenting problems and solutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact. Generate documentation and technical specifications for IT staff, facilitating the planning and execution of new IT infrastructure or upgrades. Conduct or delegate routine backup operations and establish appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. Proactively monitor system performance to offer capacity planning and optimization recommendations. Coordinate periodic maintenance of system updates. Execute patching for Windows, Linux, and other operating systems, as well as third-party components. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access. Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary updates to ensure a secure network environment. Provide support to users for network and hardware-related issues. Skills Required for Success: Demonstrate proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting. Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, with flexibility for weekends and after-business-hours work if needed. Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and IIS administration. Manage server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server. Experience in working with IP phones. Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems. Solid understanding of networking, including firewall security, IP address classes, and route management. Hands-on experience in Office 365 administration. Strong communication and documentation skills. Required Experience & Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Total of 3+ years of IT experience. Strong understanding of multiple technologies, including but not limited to server hardware and OS, virtualization, VMWare, hyper-converged infrastructure, and Office365. Experience Required: 3-5 years Location: Kochi, Kerala, India
