VMC Setter and Programmer

Overview

We are looking for a skilled VMC Programmer with hands-on experience in CNC/VMC machine programming and operations. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge in PowerMill and the ability to read and interpret design drawings accurately. This role involves working in rotational shifts and requires excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize VMC programs using PowerMill and related CAM software.
• Interpret and work from engineering design drawings to create accurate machining programs.
• Set up, operate, and monitor VMC machines to ensure precision and quality output.
• Perform tool selection, offset settings, and machining parameter adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and minimize rejection/rework.
• Collaborate with the production team to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain machine records, production logs, and follow all safety protocols.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of PowerMill CAM software.
• Ability to read and understand design/engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of machining processes, tools, and fixtures.
• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / B.E in Mechanical or related field.
• Relevant experience of 3–6 years in VMC programming (mandatory).

Note: This is a full-time role with 10-hour shifts (rotational basis). Freshers are not eligible for this position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
