Job Description

Operate VMC machines to perform
milling, drilling, tapping
, and contouring operations.
Load and unload workpieces, secure them properly using jigs and fixtures.
Load and run existing CNC programs using control panels (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.).
Adjust tool offsets and work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) as needed.
Minor program editing (if permitted and trained).
Set up tools, holders, and fixtures on the VMC machine as per job requirement.
Perform zero setting, alignment, and part referencing.
Use measuring tools such as
Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges
.
Perform in-process and final inspection to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
Perform
daily machine cleaning
, coolant level checks, and basic preventive maintenance.
Report mechanical/electrical issues to maintenance staff.
Maintain job cards, inspection reports, and machine usage logs.
Report production output and downtime to supervisors.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
B.E-MECHANICAL/ECE/EEE
ITI/DIPLOMA
