As a Network L1.5 at Tata Communications, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 shift operational support. Your key activities will include monitoring network devices, servers, and applications using NOC tools and dashboards, as well as performing basic troubleshooting of network issues such as connectivity, latency, and outages. You will be required to respond to alerts and incidents within defined SLAs and escalation procedures, and log and track incidents using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy. Additionally, you will need to collaborate with L2/L3 teams for issue escalation and resolution, maintain shift handover reports, update documentation regularly, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders during incidents. Supporting scheduled maintenance and change management activities will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols like BGP, ISIS, and OSPF, as well as experience with Cisco devices. Proficiency in multicasting configurations such as PIM (sparse/dense mode), SSM, and IGMP is essential. A strong understanding of Switching, VLAN, Port Security, STP, Advance Switching concepts, and Wireless concepts is required. You should be able to calculate and apply an addressing scheme including VLSM IPv4/IPv6 addressing design, and have knowledge of network protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, and TCP/IP. Experience with FortiGate FortiManager and the ability to configure, manage, and operate Firewall, URL Filtering, SSL VPN, NSM, and other security elements deployed in large networks is highly desirable. Additionally, skills in configuring, administering, and documenting firewall infrastructure will be beneficial for this role. With a minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant field and a total experience of 3-4 years, along with an educational qualification of BE/BTech and preferably CCNA certification, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of the network infrastructure at Tata Communications.,
