As a Network Engineer L1 based in Indore, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and maintain the data centre network infrastructure. This includes overseeing routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. You will be required to respond promptly to network alerts and support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation when needed. Regular checks must be conducted to guarantee network health, availability, and performance are optimal. Additionally, you will assist in configuring and deploying Layer 2/3 networking devices under supervision. In the event of connectivity issues across customer racks, internal systems, and cloud services, troubleshooting will be a key part of your role. It is essential to document all incidents, changes, and system updates in compliance with SOP and internal requirements. You will also collaborate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams to resolve issues and implement upgrades. Furthermore, assisting in the implementation of network security best practices such as ACLs, VLAN segmentation, and basic firewall rules will be expected from you. Maintaining inventory and documentation for all network assets and patch panels is also part of your duties. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a similar role is required. Familiarity with hardware from brands like Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, or Ubiquiti is preferred. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills are essential. Moreover, you must be willing to work in 24x7 rotational shifts as per data center requirements.
