Machine Management Daily Machine Monitoring – Issue hand machines based on production requirements; Collect hand machines after use and verify condition Preventive Maintenance Scheduling – Maintain a schedule for lubrication, calibration, and minor repairs. Breakdown Handling – Respond to machine breakdowns for repairs. 2. Material Handling Material Receipt & Verification – Check quantity, quality, and specifications of incoming materials. Correct Storage & Stocking – Store materials in designated areas to avoid damage, mixing, or wastage. Material Issuance – Supply materials to production on demand in a timely manner. Material Movement Coordination – Oversee loading/unloading with labor to prevent delays and damage. Timely Material Requisition – Identify low stock levels and raise requests before production is affected. 3. Stock & Inventory Management Inventory Logging – Maintain up-to-date records of all materials and finished goods. Stock Reconciliation – Periodically verify physical stock against system records and resolve discrepancies. Consumption Tracking – Record material usage per production batch to monitor efficiency. Waste Minimization – Ensure leftover/waste pieces are used in production wherever possible. FIFO / LIFO Compliance – Follow correct stock rotation methods to avoid expired or unusable materials. 4. Labor & Coordination Labor Planning – Ensure adequate manpower for unloading/loading, stocking, and material transport. Supervision & Safety – Ensure safe handling of materials and machines by all laborers. Communication with Production – Coordinate with production in-charge to anticipate material requirements and machine needs. 5. Waste & Resource Optimization Reuse of Waste Pieces – Identify pieces that can be used for other products or processes. Material Utilization Reporting – Provide insights on areas of wastage and recommend improvements. Cost Optimization – Suggest methods to reduce material loss, machine downtime, and unnecessary labor. 6. Procurement Support (Secondary Responsibility) Emergency Material Procurement – Procure materials from store/vendor if normal requisition is delayed. Vendor Coordination (if needed) – Communicate with vendors for urgent supplies or returns. Documentation – Maintain records of all ad-hoc procurements for accountability. 7. Reporting & Documentation Daily Logs – Maintain logs of machine usage, material issuance, and labor allocation. Weekly/Monthly Reports – Highlight stock status, machine downtime, material wastage, and pending requisitions. Basic knowledge of raw materials used in furniture and modular kitchen manufacturing (e.g., plywood, laminates, hardware, etc.). Familiarity with tools used in woodworking and factory environments . Proficient in using inventory management software or MS Excel. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Able to coordinate labor and ensure production requirements are met . Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of local vendors/suppliers in the Dankuni or Kolkata region.
