Visual & Graphic Design Associate - Communications and Design

Role Overview: You will be joining the dynamic Design team at IIHS as a visual and graphics design associate. Your role will involve creating visually compelling designs that align with the institution's brand identity and communication objectives. It is essential to have a creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and a passion for producing high-quality visual content. This is a contractual engagement for an initial term of 11 months, with the potential to become a regular position over time. Key Responsibilities: - Create and design visual content for various digital and print media, including books, reports, infographics, social media graphics, event collateral, presentations, and advertisements. - Ensure all design work adheres to IIHS brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity across all channels. - Collaborate with the design team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver on design briefs. - Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative design ideas that engage the target audience. - Maintain a well-organized library of visual assets for easy access and utilization by the team. - Utilize industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create and edit graphics, illustrations, and other visual content. - Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure all design work meets quality standards and is error-free. - Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with team members about project status. - Stay updated with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance design skills and creativity. Qualifications Required: - A Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Graphic design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline from a Design/Art school background. - 4-6 years of relevant work experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout principles. - Good language proficiency in English, Kannada, or Hindi with effective communication and collaboration skills. - Strong attention to detail, commitment to producing high-quality design work, and the ability to work independently. - Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of web design principles, UI/UX design concepts, and additional skills like Photography, Drawing/Sketching, Animation, HTML, Web-programming, WordPress, or CMS based web applications would be advantageous.
