• Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems and features.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Visual FoxPro v9.0, including
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices
• Application of common design patterns in legacy and modernized codebases
• Development and maintenance of COM components for interoperability with distributed systems
• UI/UX design and implementation using native VFP forms and controls
• Back-end batch processing and transactional logic
• Advanced use of ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) for data access and manipulation
• Mastery of the Visual FoxPro debugging environment and performance tuning techniques
• Strong experience with legacy system modernization, including: (Good to Have)
• Refactoring and optimizing existing VFP applications
• Integrating VFP systems with modern platforms (e.g., .NET, REST APIs, SQL Server)
• Migrating or interfacing with cloud-based services or newer architectures

Database expertise:

• Deep understanding of VFP DBF file structures and indexing strategies
• Experience with SQL Server data structures and T-SQL programming language
• Data modeling, normalization, and performance optimization
