Primary Responsibilities Oversee Facility Operations Manage daily operations of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, lighting, waste disposal, and cleanliness. Vendor, Contract & Budget Management Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts for maintenance, cleaning, security, and more. Monitor service delivery and control costs within budget parameters. CAM Maintenance & Preventive Planning Schedule and supervise regular inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, repairs, and renovations to ensure safety and functionality of facilities. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and building regulations (e.g., OSHA, ADA, local codes). Coordinate safety training and respond to emergencies. Space Planning & Optimization Manage office layouts, relocations, renovations, and space utilization projects. Sustainability & Efficiency Initiatives Lead energy-saving and environmental initiativesmonitor utility usage, promote green building practices, and support certifications like LEED. Leadership & Coordination Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, manage inventory, coordinate with departments like IT, HR, security, and oversee emergency response and business continuity. Key Qualifications & Skills Proficiency with building systems & preventive maintenance. Typically 57 years in facility or maintenance roles; engineering background. Strong organization, communication, leadership, and vendor negotiation skills. Adaptability and quick problem-solving are critical. Job Summary The MEP Manager is responsible for the planning, design, execution, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a building or infrastructure project. They ensure all systems comply with relevant codes and standards, that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality levels. The role also involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders (architects, civil, structural, vendors, contractors) and leading the MEP team. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all MEP activities from concept through design, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover. Develop, review, and approve MEP designs, drawings, specifications and schedules; ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and regulations. Prepare MEP project plan including scope, resources, timelines, cost budgets, material specifications, and procurement strategy. Coordinate with architecture, civil, structural, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing teams to integrate MEP systems with overall building design. Review and approve vendor/subcontractor drawings, shop drawings, and technical documents. Lead tendering & procurement of MEP materials, ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery. Ensure installation meets engineering and safety standards; monitor quality control, address defective works. Schedule and conduct inspections, tests, commissioning, and handover of systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical power & lighting, fire alarm/suppression, plumbing & drainage). Manage resource allocation: manpower, equipment. Mentor, supervise, and evaluate engineering staff / site supervisors. Maintain project progress reports, cost reports, risk logs, and change orders. Identify delays or cost overruns and take corrective actions. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Civil Engineering or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, building services, codes & regulations. Minimum of 6-9 years experience in MEP design, execution & commissioning; experience in leading large / complex projects. Strong project management skills: planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource management. Technical competence in HVAC systems, electrical power & lighting, fire protection, plumbing & drainage etc. Familiarity with software/tools: AutoCAD (MEP), Revit MEP, BIM coordination, project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera), cost estimation tools.
