Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Sales Manager – International Business (Flexible Packaging) based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India . The position involves leading international sales operations for our flexible packaging business, developing and executing growth strategies, managing and mentoring the sales team, and ensuring achievement of global sales targets. The role also requires nurturing long-term customer relationships, analyzing market data, identifying emerging opportunities, and driving business expansion in international markets. Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and execute an export sales strategy for packaging films across key international markets. 2. Achieve export revenue and profitability targets in line with business goals. 3. Identify and develop new export markets, regions, and customers. 4. Manage relationships with international clients, distributors, agents, and partners. 5. Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial terms. 6. Collaborate with production, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure timely deliveries and customized product solutions. 7. Monitor global market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting exports. 8. Ensure compliance with export documentation, logistics, and trade regulations. 9. Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance tracking for the export segment. 10. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and with strategic partners. 11. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing export sales team. 12. Build and maintain strong relationships with converters, FMCG companies, contract & tender businesses, and other key stakeholders. 13. Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence to top management. Educational Qualification · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International/Domestic Trade, or Engineering (Polymer, Chemical, or Plastic preferred). · Plastic industry–specific experience in a key export/sales position is required. Key Skills & Competencies · Deep knowledge of flexible packaging films in the plastic industry in plastics or adjacent industries. · Proven leadership and team management abilities. · Strategic thinking with data-driven decision-making. · Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) tools. · In-depth knowledge of export regulations, INCOTERMS, shipping, and customs procedures . Strong negotiation and communication skills Relevant Experience · 15+ years of experience in export sales, preferably in packaging films, flexible packaging, or adjacent industries. · Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing national and international sales · Proven experience in international markets; overseas travel exposure to regions such as the USA, Europe, and Asia. · Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage. Role & responsibilities HR Intelligence & People Analytics: Develop and lead the HR Intelligence framework, including dashboards, reports, and predictive analytics for workforce planning and strategic decision-making. Provide actionable insights using data on employee engagement, attrition, diversity, productivity, and talent pipeline health. Collaborate with IT/HRIS teams to enhance data quality, reporting tools, and system integration for seamless HR analytics. Talent Management: Design and execute talent management strategies covering talent acquisition, onboarding, development, succession planning, and retention. Oversee leadership development programs and career pathing aligned with business needs and future skill requirements. Partner with business leaders to identify high-potential talent and build robust succession pipelines for critical roles. Lead internal mobility initiatives and implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Performance Management: Oversee the performance management cycle, including goal setting (OKRs/KPIs), mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals. Drive a culture of continuous feedback, coaching, and development through modern performance management practices. Collaborate with business units to align individual performance with organizational goals and key business outcomes. Evaluate and enhance performance appraisal systems to ensure fairness, transparency, and impact. Strategic HR Leadership: Support organizational change initiatives through strategic workforce planning and talent strategy. Lead cross-functional HR projects with measurable impact on culture, productivity, and capability development. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on workforce trends, talent risks, and capability gaps. Preferred candidate profile Masters Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field. Proven experience with HR technology platforms (e.g., Darwin Box, SAP Success Factors, Oracle HCM, etc.). Strong understanding of talent lifecycle, performance metrics, and organizational behaviour. Proficiency in HR data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or equivalent). Experience in leading large-scale HR transformation or digital HR initiatives is preferred.
Role & responsibilities Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, MoUs, NDAs, and other legal documents. Maintaining a database of all legal documents and agreements. Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Coordinating with external lawyers and law firms for ongoing litigation. Preparing legal notices, replies, affidavits, and petitions. Representing the company at hearings (if required). Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, labor, and industry-specific laws. Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and advising the management accordingly. Assisting in regulatory filings and documentation with government authorities (ROC, SEBI, etc.). Internal Legal Advisory: Providing legal opinions and risk analysis on business transactions. Supporting departments in resolving day-to-day legal queries. Documentation & Record Keeping : Maintaining proper records of court cases, agreements, and regulatory documents. Ensuring timely renewals and closures of legal matters. Preferred candidate profile Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and civil laws. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good command over English and Gujarati (preferred for regional )
