As a VM Administrator, your role involves managing the lifecycle of virtual machines using Nutanix AHV, including deployments and provisioning. Your key responsibilities include: - Creating, deploying, cloning, and managing virtual machines using Nutanix AHV - Installing, configuring, and maintaining Nutanix AHV clusters, Prism Central, and Prism Element - Monitoring and optimizing resource utilization, performance, and availability in virtual environments - Providing technical support for hardware and software issues, troubleshooting incidents - Implementing security measures like micro-segmentation with Nutanix Flow and ensuring compliance - Managing backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized infrastructure - Automating routine tasks and workflows related to hypervisor administration and VM deployment - Creating and maintaining engineering documentation, configuration standards, and procedures - Collaborating with teams on capacity planning and scalability for the Nutanix HCI environment - Supporting Nutanix environments that may include other hypervisors like VMware vSphere in a hybrid setup To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - Strong experience with Nutanix technologies such as AHV, Prism Element/Central, and AOS - Solid understanding of virtualization concepts and experience with platforms like VMware or Hyper-V - Experience with various operating systems running on virtual machines - Familiarity with virtual networking concepts, including micro-segmentation - Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in a complex virtualized environment - Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or similar virtualization certifications are often preferred If there are any additional details about the company in the job description, they will be included here.,
