The Network Engineer role involves designing, testing, implementing, and supporting cloud and on-premise network infrastructure. You will provide consultation and technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and network configuration. Responsibilities include establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining and enforcing system standards. You will design and implement new solutions, improve resilience of the current environment, monitor network performance, fix network problems, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects for network optimization. Regular liaison with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers is also required. Skills required include good attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective verbal/written communication for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in cloud infrastructure areas like virtual gateways, virtual routers, virtual networks, peering between virtual networks, multi-cloud networking tools, security mechanisms, load balancing, routing, and switching is essential. Additionally, expertise in data center infrastructure solutions, network segmentation, access control, NAT methods, SASE, SD-WAN technologies, programming/scripting languages, automation, network automation & orchestration, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, public cloud/hybrid cloud integration, virtualization, and global enterprise network support is required. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred, along with Azure Network Engineer Associate certification. The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of cloud network engineering experience with Azure, GCP, and/or AWS, with a minimum of 7 years of IT experience. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is required.
