Job Title: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Support Specialist Experience: 5 to 8 years Location: Remote (USA - EST Shift Time: 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) Mandatory Certification: AZ104 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) Initially two month pune then coimbatore Job Overview We are seeking an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. You will ensure the optimal performance, security, and availability of virtual desktop infrastructure while providing exceptional support to end-users and internal teams. If you have extensive experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows VMs, Azure Monitor, and troubleshooting, and hold the AZ104 certification, we would love to have you on our team! Primary Responsibilities AVD Environment Management: Configure, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. Optimize session hosts and user profiles for performance, scalability, and reliability. Manage virtual machines, storage, and networking within the AVD ecosystem. Implement and manage application delivery within AVD sessions to ensure efficient performance. Support And Troubleshooting Respond promptly to user issues related to AVD, including connectivity, performance, and application access. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to virtual desktops, remote apps, and user profiles. Collaborate with end-users to address session-related challenges and educate them on best practices. Work closely with cloud and networking teams to resolve complex technical issues. Security And Compliance Apply and enforce security policies within the AVD environment, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access Policies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies (e.g., SOC II, GDPR). Regularly patch and update session hosts and other related infrastructure to ensure system security. Monitoring And Reporting Use tools like Site24x7, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to actively monitor AVD environment performance. Generate performance and usage reports to ensure AVD systems are running efficiently. Provide recommendations for scaling and resource optimization based on usage trends and performance metrics. Documentation And Training Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AVD. Create and maintain a knowledge base for recurring AVD issues. Provide training sessions to end-users and junior IT staff on AVD features, functionalities, and best practices. Skills And Qualifications Experience: 5 to 8 years in managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. Primary Skills: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) management and support. Experience with Windows VMs and Azure Monitor. Strong troubleshooting skills in a virtualized environment. Secondary Skills: Azure Networking and Storage management within AVD ecosystems. Experience with Azure Security policies like MFA, Conditional Access, etc. Certifications: AZ104: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills to work with end-users and internal teams. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
