The Role - Immediate Hire We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary operations. You’ll be the heart of the kitchen—ensuring food quality, consistency, presentation, cost control, and team development. You’ll work closely with the brand team to evolve the menu, execute efficient service, and maintain a high-energy kitchen that thrives under pressure. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Leadership & Operations Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times. Uphold high standards in food quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with local health regulations. Supervise and develop a passionate kitchen team with strong mentoring, training, and performance management. Menu Execution & Innovation Ensure flawless execution of the My Mexicana menu—consistently and on-brand. Work with corporate chefs and R&D to test and introduce new dishes and seasonal specials. Standardize recipes, plating guides, and portion controls to ensure consistency across all shifts. Cost Control & Inventory Manage food costs, portioning, and wastage without compromising on taste or quality. Conduct regular inventory audits and work closely with procurement for ordering and stock management. Monitor labor and kitchen productivity metrics to optimize efficiency. Team Culture Foster a positive, inclusive kitchen environment where the team is motivated, accountable, and customer-focused. Recruit, train, and retain high-caliber culinary staff. Ideal Candidate Profile Minimum 5–8 years in progressive kitchen roles, including at least 2 years as a Head Chef or Executive Chef. Experience in high-volume, casual-dining restaurants—Tex-Mex or American grills (e.g., Chili’s, TGI Fridays, or similar) is a strong advantage. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of Tex-Mex cuisine, modern plating, and flavor balance. Proven record of managing food costs, waste, and kitchen efficiency. Passionate about hospitality and delivering consistent guest experiences. Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
