Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team in the dairy industry. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics operations including transportation, distribution, inventory management, and ensuring timely delivery of dairy products. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of logistics procedures within the dairy industry. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily logistics operations including transportation, and distribution activities to ensure efficient delivery of dairy products. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels of dairy products to meet customer demand. Plan and schedule transportation routes for delivery trucks to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times. Oversee the maintenance and servicing of delivery vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition for safe and reliable transportation of dairy products. Train and supervise logistics staff, including drivers, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to resolve any logistics-related issues or concerns in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and incorporate them into the company's operations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in the dairy industry. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in logistics software and systems for tracking inventory, shipments, and transportation routes. Solid understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
