Video Editor (YouTube Content)

Role & Responsibilities:

Edit YouTube long-form videos and short-form content (Reels/Shorts). Add titles, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and creative storytelling elements suited for food content. Organize and manage raw footage, sound, and project files. Support the team during shoots and show interest in learning video shooting. Assist in script writing, ingredient documentation, SEO writing, and office tasks (training will be provided).

Requirements:

• Prior experience in video editing.
  

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva

  (Must-Have).
• Familiarity with other video editing software such as

  Final Cut Pro

  ,

  DaVinci Resolve

  ,

  Adobe After Effects

  , and

  Filmora

  is a plus.
• Willingness to multitask beyond editing (shooting, documentation, basic SEO).
  
• Should be comfortable working closely with a women-led creator team in a home/studio environment.

Work Environment & Safety:

- Laptop system will be provided in the office all editing work should be done from our studio only.

- Secure home-studio environment.

Selection Process:

Step 1: Initial Screening (Google Meet 15 to 20 mins) A short online conversation to understand your background, communication skills, and comfort working in a small, women-led creator setup. Well also discuss your editing experience, preferred tools, and travel feasibility to Kolathur.

Step 2: Practical Editing Test (Online or In-Studio) Youll receive a short cooking video clip (multi-angle) to edit. Your task will be to: Cut out unwanted portions and polish the flow. Add titles, subtitles, and transitions. Clean up audio and balance background sound. Export both a YouTube long version and a Reel/Short (vertical) version. Well evaluate your speed, creativity, sound balance, export quality, and ability to follow directions.
