Overview
We're looking for a Video Editor who understands today's social-first editing styles, sharp, engaging, fast-paced, and platform-friendly. You should be able to take raw footage and turn it into clear, well-structured stories across short-form and long-form formats. If you enjoy experimenting with cuts, pacing, music, and modern visual styles, you'll fit well into this role.
1. Social-First Editing
Edit content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, YouTube, and similar platforms.
Create engaging openings, clean transitions, strong pacing, and platform-friendly versions.
Use captions, text elements, and basic motion graphics when needed.
Stay updated with current editing trends and social formats.
2. Long-Form & Brand Content
Edit interviews, brand films, testimonials, case studies, event videos, and internal videos.
Build smooth narrative flow from raw footage.
Clean audio, choose suitable music, and maintain rhythm across edits.
3. Visual & Motion Enhancements
Add simple motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and graphic overlays.
Handle colour correction and basic-to-intermediate colour grading for consistent output.
Ability to do light VFX or compositing (masking, cleanup, screen replacements) is a plus.
4. Workflow & Collaboration
Work with designers, writers, directors, and the creative team on briefs and revisions.
Adapt quickly to feedback and deliver polished final outputs.
Be flexible with work hours when deadlines require it.
Comfortable using modern editing features and AI-assisted tools that help speed up tasks (e.g., captions, cleanups, reframing).
45 years of hands-on video editing experience.
Strong skills in Premiere Pro (or similar editing software).
Basic knowledge of After Effects for simple motion elements.
Good sense of pacing, storytelling, music, and audio cleanup.
Understanding of social platform formats (ratios, lengths, safe zones).
Solid portfolio with social edits, brand content, and narrative-driven pieces.
Experience working with lifestyle, consumer, creator-led, or brand content.
Familiarity with YouTube content styles and longer narrative formats.
Interest in learning new tools, workflows, and creative techniques.
