About the Role:

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Video Editor to join our team and take charge of our short-form video content. Your primary role will be to edit and produce engaging, high-energy Reels for our social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.) that captivate our audience and drive engagement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape our brand's visual storytelling and make a significant impact on our online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage into compelling 15-90 second vertical videos.
• Incorporate text overlays, graphics, and subtitles to enhance storytelling.
• Select and integrate trending audio, music, and sound effects to maximize reach.
• Apply colour correction, transitions, and other effects to create a polished final product.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, editing styles, and platform features.
• Collaborate with our marketing team to brainstorm and execute video concepts.
• Ensure all video content aligns with our brand guidelines and voice.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Ideally 1 year of professional experience in video editing, specifically for social media.
• Freshers are strongly encouraged to apply! A strong portfolio showcasing your skills is more important than years of experience.
• Portfolio: A mandatory portfolio or showreel demonstrating your best Reel/short-form video edits.
• Software Proficiency: Skilled in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with mobile editing apps like CapCut is a huge plus.
• Creative Skills: A strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and timing. You know what makes a video go viral.
• Trend Savvy: A deep understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts trends.
• Attitude: Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
