You will be responsible for building and maintaining React applications using modern TypeScript and React 18 patterns. Your role will involve translating product and design requirements into modular, scalable UI components. Optimizing performance through code-splitting, lazy loading, and effective state management will be crucial, utilizing tools like Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar. You will need to implement responsive layouts using CSS-in-JS, Tailwind CSS, or PostCSS, and integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs while handling real-time updates via WebSockets or SSE. Your tasks will also include writing and maintaining automated tests, conducting code reviews, upholding accessibility and internationalization standards, and documenting components in Storybook. Daily collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to iterate quickly and ship polished features is essential. To qualify for this role, you must have fluency in English for daily collaboration with distributed teams and at least 6 years of professional frontend development experience, with a minimum of 3 years building production React applications. Expert knowledge of TypeScript, React hooks, context, and modern state management approaches is required, along with a solid grasp of performance optimization techniques, Lighthouse auditing, and browser internals. You should have production experience consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, managing network and caching concerns, and a strong testing discipline using Jest, React Testing Library, and end-to-end testing tools. Proficiency in Git workflows and a collaborative code-review culture is necessary, as well as a commitment to accessibility, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility. Nice-to-have qualifications include hands-on experience with Next.js 14/15, familiarity with design systems and component-library tooling such as Storybook or Radix UI, exposure to data-visualization libraries like Recharts, Victory, or D3, experience deploying front ends on AWS S3 + CloudFront, Vercel, or Netlify, knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for frontend assets, and an interest in AI and LLM-driven UX patterns, prompt design, and workflow automations. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule in the UK shift. The work location is onsite in Chennai.
