Job Description

As an Operational Risk Practitioner at Standard Chartered, you will have an exciting opportunity to work in the field of operational risk management, data, and analytics providing exposure to senior stakeholders across non-financial risks. This role could be based in India or Poland, and you will have the responsibility of the following key aspects: - **Scenario Analysis:** - Plan the agenda for operational risk scenario analysis book of work by leveraging disparate data sources to identify areas of focus for scenarios. - Facilitate Operational Risk scenario analysis workshops with 1st and 2nd Lines of Defence to quantify low frequency high severity events. Facilitate the identification of risks and mitigation actions through these workshops. - **Governance:** - Support appropriate governance and routines (committees, forums, and others) to support the GORT's mandate. - **Stress Testing:** - Support Operational Risk Stress Testing and ensure outcomes are appropriately reflected in capital calibration and planning, Risk Appetite definition and Risk and Control identification and assessment. This includes facilitating the identification of risks and mitigation actions. You should be able to think through the impact of a stress scenario on non-financial risks and review and challenge the subject matter experts on such topics. In terms of **Qualifications**, you are expected to have: - Operational Risk Practitioner certification. **Skills And Experience** required for this role include: - **Market Knowledge:** Experience in the banking industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role or 2nd Line function. - **Operational Risk Knowledge:** Prior experience in Non-Financial Risk OR and Operational Risk. - **Scenario Analysis:** Ability to conduct scenario analysis and hypothesis testing and articulate outcomes. **Non-technical Skills** that will be beneficial: - Stakeholder management experience. - Diligence and attention to detail. - Ability to think creatively and innovate.
